YOU R HERE allows you to take a picture of a map board and have your iPhone GPS plot your location on it. Local map boards at trailheads, parks, and in tourist areas contain details you won't find in Google maps. Take them with you on your walk or hike.

In addition to photos of map boards, you can take almost any map image and turn it into a custom, offline map.

  1. HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Bullet  Download tourist maps off the internet before you leave for vacation

  2. Bullet Take advantage of local maps with local information not found in generic mapping applications

  1. Bullet Use topo maps from online mapping sites

Once you have two known points set, you will be able to use the built-in GPS to plot your position on the map image as you move across the map. If map north is not directly up on the, you will will need to adjust the compass screen to match map north.
